VAL MORGAN

Elder

I was a member of Zion Christian Centre in Halesowen, West Midlands for some 20 years and served as a steward there for 10 years before moving to Cyprus with my husband Allan in 2007.  I have 2 children and 3 wonderful grandchildren who all live in the UK.

I visited NTCC many times during the first few months after our arrival and joined the Fellowship in 2008.  I joined the Helps team and soon found myself taking over as Helps Deacon, a job I enjoyed doing for some 4 years.

In 2014 I was appointed as an Elder of the church, a job which, although demanding, has also proved very rewarding.

One of the things we aim to do at NTCC is to present the Bible in a way which is relevant to the world in which we live today but without deviating or altering the truth as written.

Although the church membership comes from some very diverse religious backgrounds there is a very strong sense of unity within the Fellowship, combined with a real sense of family. One of the things people comment on when visiting is the loving atmosphere within the church. We always aim to make people feel welcome at NTCC.

We are pleased to welcome you here today.

SIMON HART

I was born and grew up in Kenya. After relocating to the UK, and having decided that religion was not for me, I became a Christian when, as a bored teenager, I decided to go to a church meeting for entertainment and was challenged to follow Jesus. At university I met up with a lot of Christians and teachers who explained the Christian faith to me in greater depth.

I later joined a group of people pioneering the setting up of new churches in Bristol and later Derby which, with my wife and three sons, became a big part of our lives for many years, before moving to Cyprus in  2016.

I became a Christian at the age of 18, and once I had completed my teacher training, I moved back to Bristol and along with a couple of others started what became Bristol Christian Fellowship. After a spell of living in Egypt with our young family, we moved to Derby, where we were involved in starting another church. In 2006 we started coming regularly to Cyprus, eventually moving here in 2016 when we joined NTCC.

Along with my husband, Simon, we feel very privileged to be Elders of NTCC, and we are looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in the future.
